Facilities

The Design Studies group moved into a newly renovated studio complex in Smith Research Center designed specifically to support our program. The complex features one 3,000 square foot studio space dedicated to the first two years and a pair of 1,500 square foot studios for the exclusive use of students in the upper two years. There are three desktop computers in each studio for student use, along with other resources to support their work.

In addition there is a student work room, a plotter room featuring black and white and color printers and plotters, and scanner facilities, an office featuring our growing collection of iconic chairs, and faculty offices.

All Interior Design classes are held at Smith Research Center, easily accessible by a free bus and with ample parking for students. The facility is open until 10:00 pm on weeknights and is accessible on the weekend, as well.
