Prof. Young is a graduate of the Indiana University interior design program and an NCIDQ-certified interior designer with professional experience in facilities management, project management and large-scale public projects for Indianapolis design firms Fanning Howey Associates and Carson Design Associates. Her expertise includes incorporating communication technologies and sustainability models in design projects. As an active International Interior Design Association member, Prof. Young stays connected with the local design community to support student interaction with working designers and professionals in related disciplines.
Prof. Young joined the faculty in 2006 and teaches courses in computer-aided drafting, advanced computerized two-dimensional and three-dimensional communication, materials and components of interior design, and upper-level interior design studios.
