laptop requirement

There is a laptop requirement for students from the 2nd year up.

All students have free access to Adobe CS4 and students from the 2nd year forward are provided with AutoCAD.

Color scanning, printing and plotting are available for use at times when faculty or staff are present.

Partnerships with the Design Industry

We have built partnerships with leaders in the furniture industry and so you can see/use/draw and evaluate pieces of iconic furniture and state-of-the-art ergonomic ones.

Sustainability

In addition, IU’s Design Studies is at the forefront of Sustainability, integrating this into all of our studio course and offering an elective course in the subject. Currently two faculty are LEED AP.
